WEEKEND SERVICE DEPARTMEMNT SHOP FLOOR MANAGER

This is a great opportunity for a driven Lead Diesel Mechanic with a CAN DO attitude. This person will be responsible to evaluate, prioritize and delegate work amongst the mechanics and washer/fuelers.
Shifts available: WEEKENDS

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Examine vehicles to determine extent of damage or malfunctions
- Review work orders and discuss work with service manager
- Follow checklists to ensure all important parts are examined
- Plan work procedures, using charts, technical manuals, and experience
- Communicate with driver to obtain descriptions of vehicle problems.
- Complies with all safety, DOT and OSHA guidelines
- Adhere to company rules and regulations
- Ensure cleanliness of shop and surrounding areas.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum three years recent medium/heavy diesel maintenance experience
- Ensure cleanliness of shop and surrounding areas.
- Must have own hand tools
- Basic computer skills
- CDL license preferred
- Good driving record and proven work history
