Description

Develop and Execute Distribution and Inventory Stocking Plans for the Distribution Center. Provide direct leadership to 1 - 4 Distribution Center Staff in the daily execution of business goals. This role will report to Director of Distribution and Inventory Planning and support of, and in consultation with the Sales Directors, Inside Sales, Human Resources, Shipping, and Finance Departments. Achievement of specific goals for Safety, Fill Rates, Inventory Accuracy, Inventory Turns, Monthly Sales, and Fair Employment practices will be key measures of success in this role. This role serves as the focal Point for Neenah Foundry's Municipal Products Group in the respective region in support of customer requirements.

* Direct supervision of 1 - 4 Distribution Center Staff.

* Efficient management and deployment of $1M - 5M in Finished Goods Inventory to balance financial risk and Customer Satisfaction.

* Working relationship with Field Sales, Shipping, Inside Sales, Finance, and Department personnel

* Daily data entry of customer orders, inventory control, and inventory accuracy.

* Schedule inbound and outbound transportation, and customer pickups.

* Obtain Market Intelligence to consistently update stocking solutions based on Seasonality and Customer preferences.

* Adhere to the Credit Management policies and procedures to protect the collections process

* Assist in the development, and implementation of department and company.

* Achieve Monthly shipment rates in support of the Annual Plan

* Develop and implement stocking plans to ensure a fill rate > 97% for A items at the DC's

* Improve Inventory Turns by no less than 15% per year.

* Ensure Inventory Accuracy of > 98% through vigorous execution of a blind cycle count program.

* Demonstrate the ability to work as a Team, influencing others through strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

* Demonstrate the ability to be an effective communicator at Hourly, Executive, and Customer levels of communication.

* Strong computerized Analytic abilities to determine forecast accuracy, economic stocking quantities, and demand trends.

This position description is intended to cover the most significant, ongoing job functions and competency areas. Successful performance in the role will require performing satisfactorily other duties as assigned.

  • High School diploma with 5 years of experience in Customer Service or Supply Chain Operations
  • Associates Degree with 2 years' experience or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Customer Service, or Supply Chain Management.

* 2-5 years' experience in Distribution, preferably in a manufacturing environment, is preferred.

* Strong computer analytics required.

* A demonstrated record of accomplishment implementing successful distribution process, including system implementations, credit card security, lease and grounds administration, and customer service.

* Prior supervisory experience with a record of successful personnel management.

* Forklift certification and experience.

* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

* The worker must be able to access, analyze and otherwise work with, enter information stored in or obtained through the company's computer system, and to communicate effectively with co-workers and third parties who have business dealings with the company's Human Resources operations.

- Forklift Certified.

* Up to 15% - Overnight travel may include weekends for physical inventory, and potential for emergency fill-in at other Distribution Centers.
