Job Description
Sentry has an opportunity for a Portfolio Manager Senior- Equity Investments to join our team at our headquarters in Stevens Point, WI. This role ensures the successful management of the assigned investment portfolios through the appropriate allocation of assets. You will monitor domestic and world situations and analyze their effect on investments to ensure the successful management of the portfolios.

This hybrid role will require Tuesday through Thursday in-office in Stevens Point, WI. Mondays and Fridays can be worked from home if you choose. This role is not eligible for a fully remote schedule.

What You'll Do

As a Portfolio Manager Senior- Equity Investments, you will:

  • Evaluate individual securities for inclusion in equity portfolios using a fundamental approach that includes individual company business model, financial and sector analysis, as well as interviewing senior management teams.
  • Monitor day-to-day securities market conditions and expectations, as well as economic data.
  • Contribute to the construction and management of equity portfolios that will meet Insurance Company performance objectives.
  • Supervise and monitor current holdings on a continual basis.
  • Make timely decisions concerning the buying and selling of investments and explain in a concise manner why specific actions were taken.

Additionally, you will:

  • Summarize timely knowledge of various market and sector trends to present to the entire Investment Department.
  • Formulate a macro-economic outlook to incorporate into the overall organizational planning.
  • Evaluate new investment technologies, strategies and vehicles for application in the Sentry investment portfolios.
  • Perform other job-related duties as needed.

What it Takes

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required (Master's Degree preferred)
  • 5-10+ years relevant work experience.
  • Chartered Financial Analyst designation highly desired.
  • Specialized knowledge of all aspects of investment markets.
  • Exceptional background in equity analysis.
  • Strong communication skills.
